Research is defined as a systematic investigation to gain knowledge about something which involves a series of processes: collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to understand a particular phenomenon. Research methodology is a generic term that covers a host of research methods indicating the philosophy and techniques of the various research approaches.
The overall objective of the Research Methodology course is to enable students to perform in-depth research and write research papers following standard methods.
Upon completing this course, students will understand the techniques of social science research with a special focus on Buddhist Studies, be able to conduct research independently, and contribute new theories or insights on specific subjects related to Buddhist Studies.
